We often promote individuals to Team Leader or Management positions as a reward for professional excellence.

However, we sometimes forget to:
a) assess whether they want to and have a passion for managing people
b) provide them with the skills and knowledge to navigate and comply with our often complex employment legislation.

We provide individual and group Leadership Programmes to ensure that our People Leaders are equipped to effectively manage and motivate their direct reports and use processes and procedures that comply with our NZ Employment Legislation.

Programme content is customised to meet the needs of the participant(s) and provide both theoretical and practical application of safe leadership practices, including but not limited to:
 

  • Key strategies for effective communication including identifying barriers
  • Understand and utilising professional and effective situational leadership
  • Understanding the importance and relevance of leadership compliance with Employment Relations, Human Rights and Health and Safety at Work Acts
  • Managing conflict strategies
  • Using assertiveness to achieve a win-win outcome
  • The power of responding versus reacting
  • Non-verbal communication and its importance in building rapport
  • Tuning into different personality types
